Reader's Theater
This website has many K-3 reader's theater scripts for students to read. Reader's theater offers students the opportunity to read a passage many times for fluency. When this is done for an audience it will have meaning too. When student develop fluency ,comprehension and test scores go up.

This reader's theater script was read by my classmates as part of my graduate class. I included this sample for students to hear what reader's theater sounds like.

- To model the process for my class
- To teach my students how to use garage band to create a podcast
- To record each student reading so the student, parent and teacher can hear their progress

I am including this link again to make sure everyone sees it. It cannot be emphasized enough- research shows students of every age need to be read too. Whether it is a book that is followed online or an audiobook. Audiobooks can be checked out at any library or downloaded online.

I chose to include this brief lesson because I liked the Prezi format and it focuses on wrapping up learning. Students miss out on internalizing learning when teachers move on too quickly after a book is read or a topic is discussed.
